Tim Hortons Ranks Number One in the Reputation Institute's Survey of Canada's Top Brands in 2013

OAKVILLE, ON - April 30, 2013 - The results of an annual survey of the world's most reputable companies as conducted by The Reputation Institute, ranked Tim Hortons number one against all other Canadian brands.

The survey, which polled more than 5,000 Canadians about 100 multinational brands, rated companies across seven different criteria and saw Tim Hortons score the highest among all brands in the areas of performance and citizenship. The survey attributed the high citizenship score to the company's community involvement, with programs such as Smile Cookie, Timbit minor sports sponsorships and the Tim Horton Children's Foundation.

"We're flattered to be recognized by Canadians as the country's most reputable company," said Bill Moir, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer, Tim Hortons. "Most of all, we're proud to be recognized for our community involvement, as we continuously strive towards making a true difference through our community programs."

Companies were also rated based on products and services, innovation, leadership, governance and workplace. Tim Hortons also placed 10th among all global brands in Canada, coming out ahead of well-known international brands such as Honda, Apple and Amazon.
