Tim Hortons celebrates Winnipeg Blue Bombers' 80th Season with Blue Bomber Game Day Donut

Special Edition Donut sold every game day in Winnipeg restaurants

WINNIPEG, MB - (June 11, 2010) - Tim Hortons is getting into the blue and gold spirit by introducing a special Blue Bomber Game Day Donut, in honor of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers' 80th season in the Canadian Football League.  The vanilla dipped donut with blue and gold sprinkles will be sold in all Winnipeg Tim Hortons on game days during the 2010 CFL season.

"The Blue Bomber donut is a great way for Tim Hortons owners to show their blue and gold pride and for fans to celebrate their team`s past 80 years in the CFL," said Bill Moir, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer at Tim Hortons, and a Winnipeg native.  "We're proud to support the Blue Bombers as a Platinum Sponsor and look forward to continuing to support Canadian football."

The limited edition donut will be launched on Friday, June 11 at 11 am, when Blue Bombers alumni Ken Ploen and Nick Miller and Blue Bombers President Jim Bell, join the Blue Lightning Dance Team and mascots Buzz and Boomer at Tim Hortons at 980 St. James Street.
