Camp Day 2000 Raises $3.3 Million!

Camp Day - FireWe asked our customers to help and they did!

May 2000 - Thanks to the generosity of our customers, the hard work of our store owners and their dedicated staff, and the participation and assistance of many special guests and the media, this year's Camp Day on May 24th raised $3.3 million (CDN)!

This generous amount was raised through coffee sales and other fundraising events and activities, and substantially exceeds last year's total of $2.75 million (CDN). All of the funds collected on Camp Day go to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation to help send economically disadvantaged children on a camping adventure. This year, more than 6,000 children selected from the local communities where Tim Hortons stores operate, will benefit from a camp experience.

Tim Hortons is Canada's largest coffee and baked goods chain with more than 1,800 stores across the country, and more than 100 stores in the U.S., based mainly in the Buffalo, New York; Columbus, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan markets. The Tim Horton Children's Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization founded in 1974 by Ron Joyce, Senior Chairman and Co-Founder of Tim Hortons, in honor of his late friend and National Hockey League star, Tim Horton.
